7 Fast & Furious Musts Dos-Universal Orlando Resort™

#1- MAP YOUR ROUTE

Once you have decided that you and your family are going to visit Universal Orlando Resort™, you need to plan out your vacation, which means the days you are going to visit, how far the park is from your hotel, your transportation to and from the park, and most importantly getting the best price on your tickets.

If you plan on spending only one day at Universal Orlando Resort™ and want to visit both parks the best ticket for this would be the Universal 1 Day Park to Park.

Revv your engine & enjoy Islands of Adventure and then switch gears by hopping on the Hogswart Express to discover Diagon Alley at Universal Studios! But if you want to slow the engine down, take a more leisurely pace and have more than one day, you will definitely need the Universal Orlando 2 Day Park to Park, to cruise both parks!!

#2- GET OUT OF THE GATE EARLY!

I know that you are on vacation and don’t want to open the garage early but if you hang around until the middle of the day to visit you risk the chance of waiting in long lines.

Don’t underestimate to popularity of Harry Potter, because the crowd level will increase as the day proceeds. For the record, all lanes at Universal Orlando Resort™ are busiest in the middle of the day, roughly from 11:00am to 4:00pm. And, yes there are a few factors to take into consideration, like weather and special events, but in general this is a very good rule of thumb. So prime your pump and get out early!!

#3- GAS UP BEFORE ARRIVING AT YOUR DESTINATION!

Spending the day cruising around the many attractions that Universal Orlando Resort™ has to offer can be a long and tiring journey, so you want to make sure you have the correct essentials to keep the engine running smoothly. Make sure you gas up before heading to the park by eating a good meal. When you get to the parks you will find the prices are quite expensive so fill-up all the tanks, both big and little to insure the best performance!!

#4-PACK YOUR TRUNK WISELY!

Sunburns, dehydration, and hunger can cause a meltdown in your chassis, so make sure you pack the trunk with must needed supplies. The sun in Central Florida can cause severe problems to the body, so pack sunscreen to avoid this.

Universal Orlando Resort™ will allow back packs and soft coolers to be brought into the park so you will want to bring bottle water to keep from overheating as well as over spending. The price for a bottle of water in the park can cost as much as $4.00. Making sure you feed the engine with snacks along the way will also maintain the health of your engines and eliminate any unnecessary breakdowns. The park allows, fruit, chips and other small snack but will not allow pack lunches. If you want there are many areas to pull over and buy refreshments but remember the prices might cause friction in your bearings.

#5 MAKE SEVERAL PIT STOPS

Universal Orlando is not only famous for the many amazing thrill rides, but there are also many areas where you can make pit stops just let allow the engines time to rest. Make sure to take in the many shows that Universal has to offer. In Islands of Adventure for instance, The Eighth Voyage of Sindbad® Stunt Show is a stunt show of epic proportions! It runs about ½ hour and is fun for everyone. For the smaller vehicles if you swing by Seuss Landings you can see Oh! The Stories You’ll Hear!

After speeding around the streets of Diagon Alley in Universal Studios, you might decide to pull in at Universal Orlando’s Horror Make-Up Show. In this outrageous live show you’ll see how top make-up and special effects artists create some of the amazing effects you see in Hollywood’s latest hit movies. Slow down the pace and spend  A Day in the Park with Barney™, just to give the little ones a chance to rest.

#6 WATCH OUT FOR SPEED BUMPS

Speed bumps could include cameras malfunctioning, so make sure you have a back up. If you use your phones for taking pictures, then only turn one on at a time to save the battery. Getting wet at Dudley Do-Rights Ripsaw Falls and Jurassic Park River Adventure, could also mean  a delay. Either bring extra clothing or take a break and dry off. Sometimes the day starts off sunny and beautiful and before you know it you can be in a torrential downpour so check the weather before you come and if necessary protect your vehicle with a rain poncho. Universal will provide them but they usually cost around $10.00 a piece. Or you could just park for a while in a show or a restaurant until the clouds pass.
