When Bill Weasly announces, “Gringotts: It’s the safest place on Earth,” guests on Harry Potter and the Escape From Gringotts at Universal Studios Orlando, have a sense that something is not exactly right. Even though this scene has been experiences many times before, the ride itself is new and exciting!!
Although “Diagon Alley” has been highly anticipated, there were more than a few rumors of when the exact opening date would occur and all the issues surrounding it. Why wasn’t there a soft opening and were the technical difficulties on Harry Potter and the Escape From Gringotts, as bad as the media reported them as bad as they really were? Well, just to set you mind at ease, the attraction opened on July 8, 2014 and needless to say it was a smashing success! Although the ride was taken down twice there were no other issues, other than the extremely long wait times. Sometime guests were waiting as long as 6 hours in 90 degree weather, for a chance to get their first experience of this spectacular attraction. Better yet, the ride experience certainly lives up to the hype as one of the most technically impressive rides ever created. If you haven’t had a chance to ride this new ride, you may not want to read any further, because it might spoil it. However writing about this ride really doesn’t do it justice, but here goes!!
From the very beginning the Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, takes off, you are engaged! The ride takes guests down into darkness, where they are left guessing what kind of drop awaits them. After a screech or two from Bellatrix Lestrange, played by Helena Bonham Carter, they find themselves hurtling down a dark track at extreme speeds towards the ride’s next portion. The thrills certainly don’t stop there, as there are several exhilarating moments scattered throughout “Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts” with its narrative storytelling, riders will be tilted, blasted and spun around as they make their way through the ride’s story.
Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, uses the same realistic and digital effects as it’s forerunner, Harry Potter and The Forbidden Journey,you can expect this latest adventure to blend more seamlessly together and create a more cohesive experience overall.
Whereas, Transformers: The Ride, as well as Spider-Man both do a great job of keeping guests engrossed in their particular worlds, Harry Potter and the Escape From Gringotts does an remarkable job of keeping the riders guessing what is around the next dark corner and they will be pleasantly surprised at the detail that makes this one hell of ride!!
Harry Potter and the Escape From Gringotts is nothing short of a technical masterpiece, and is simply the best ride at Universal Studios Resort, easily topping predecessor Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. Though wait times for this ride have been absolutely insane, if you get the chance to check this ride out on your next visit to Universal Orlando, it is absolutely worth waiting for.
