“Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon” will be the first attraction to feature a Virtual Line experience at Universal Studios Florida. This means spending less time in line and enjoying the thrills of Universal Orlando.
Access to this new system will be offered through The Official Universal Orlando Resort App or at kiosks located outside the attraction entrance. This allows quests to virtually wait in line while still enjoying the rest of Universal Studios. Once notified, just head back to the attraction, head inside, and get ready for the race of a lifetime.
Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon replaces the Twister: Ride It Out, which simulated its final tornado one year ago. The attraction’s outside has been completely redesigned to reflect the new ride inside and once guests enter this they can “enjoy a live performance from the Ragtime Gals barbershop quartet, or check out some of the show’s classic bits, from History of Rap to Lip Sync Battle” and enjoy various other activities.
The description of the actual ride, is being touted as “the world’s first-ever flying theater.” It’s not clear exactly what this means, but the buzz has always suggested that this attraction will utilize similar technology as the ever-popular Soarin’ at Disney’s California Adventure and Epcot, which raises riders into the air in front of a massive screen to simulate a thrilling hang gliding experience.
