Universal Orlando Resort launched a new mobile application that gives guests full control of their adventure by providing instant attraction wait-times, interactive park maps, customizable favorites lists and so much more. Mobile Food & Payments in APP

Mobile food and drink ordering are a quick, contact-less way to procure some of the delicious offerings throughout Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, Universal’s Volcano Bay, and Universal CityWalk. Within the app guests can select their dining location, peruse the menu, make selections, pay for the meal, and let the kitchen know when they are ready to eat and when they arrive at the venue. All in the palm of their hand. Plus, Universal Orlando Passholders can add their discount to the order with just a simple click during payment.

The Virtual Line experience

The app is a MUST-HAVE in the parks for lots of reasons, but the Virtual Line experience is a big one. In fact, some of Universal Orlando’s most popular attractions in the parks require the app. This is how it works. Pick the ride in the app, join the queue for a time window that works and when you show up, just show the Team Member your mobile device to scan and you’ll be whizzing around on your favorite ride in no time. Using Universal’s phone app or kiosks at the rides, visitors make reservations to visit the attractions. At the appointed times, they show their phones or printed passes and are admitted into the show buildings. Once guests enter, there are still waits (generally about 20 minutes) to board the actual rides.

Don’t forget about Wait-Time Alerts

Use the wait-times feature to keep an eye on what attractions are busiest throughout the day. The “Wait Time Alert” feature on the app is how guests can get notified if a favorite attraction is under a certain wait time. One of the items most useful on the app is the availability to view wait times without having to visit the actual attraction or find the tip board. If guests are tracking the wait time of a ride to see when it goes down, they can actually set an alert so the app will let them know when the wait time for the selected attraction falls under a certain time.

Plan the day around shows and character meet-and-greets.

One of the fan favorites to do in the parks is to catch all the extraordinary entertainment through shows and meet and greet with characters. The app helps see what is happening and when so guests can make sure to catch all their favorites!

Universal App Parking Tips.

Another great tip is to take a photo of your parking spot when visiting Universal Orlando Resort. That way guests will not get lost in the parking garage when the day is done. The in-app parking reminder can include the section, level, and row.

If there are questions and the in-app chatbot will give real-time answers. And the interactive map provides a detailed layout of all three parks. They can be sorted by ride names, types of rides, shows, dining, shopping, wait times, and restroom locations. The map also has helpful features like Express Pass enabled locations, height restrictions, and dietary options, which will serve incredibly helpful as guest navigate the parks, so check the map and often.
