Since it opened officially in June 2013, Transformers :The Ride 3D at Universal Studios has been a favorite among attraction guests. With the help of Michael Bay, the award-winning director of the “Transformers” movies, Universal created an amazing, exciting attraction!
“TRANSFORMERS”: The Ride-3D that has been compared to The Amazing Adventure of Spiderman at Islands of Adventure with its simulator effects. This ride brings the never-ending feud between the famous Autobots and the hateful Decepticons to life!

Although the ride last only six minutes, there are tons of really cool effects and visuals on the walls as you journey to your vehicle. The staff is in character as well, dressed in camouflage uniforms getting all the guests ready to go in to battle to help Optimus Prime and his crew defeat the Decepticons!
The ride itself utilizes a fleet of motion-platform vehicles, that plunges and rotates 360 degrees, to carry a dozen thrill-seekers at a time through the heart of a simulated Autobot vs. Decepticon firefight. In reality, guests are whisked about a 60,000 square foot building along 2000 feet of track in front of 60-foot tall photorealistic 3D Transformers while gently being lifted as much as two stories into the air to follow the onscreen action.
The attraction combines the larger-than-life TRANSFORMERS characters and an exciting storyline with life-like HD CGI media, state-of-the-art 3-D technology and amazing special effects to place riders right in the middle of an epic battle between good and evil. “We broke the mold and have taken this ride to a new technological level in terms of blending seamless 3-D,” said Michael Bay. “TRANSFORMERS: The Ride – 3D is the perfect addition to Universal Orlando’s thrilling theme park experiences,” said Mark Woodbury, president of Universal Creative.
