Walt Disney’s Epcot: Experience the Experiment!
Epcot, or “Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow,” was the inventive motivation for Walt Disney World. Walt Disney himself envisioned a future in which nations coexisted in peace and harmony, reaping the marvelous harvest of technological accomplishment. Epcot is a one of a kind theme park that is not only is it educational and cultural, but entertaining as well. The World Showcase is based on an ongoing World Fair and circles a magnificent 40-acre lagoon. You can experience the food, culture and history of the 11 countries which are placed along the 1.2 mile boardwalk. Each one are designed to look exactly like the country that it represents.
In the World Showcase you can see some of the most beautiful gardens in our country. These are located within the worlds of Germany, France, England and Canada. Your best bet is to come during the day so you can appreciate their loveliness.

When you first enter Future World you are amazed at the massive, gleaming structures that announce you are now in the Space-Age! This innovative land within the Epcot theme park has many fascinating rides, and if you have purchased your Orlando Ticket Connection discount ticket in advance and done your homework, you can avoid the lines at most of them. The OTC Genius’s two favorite rides are Soarin’, which is kind of a tame white knuckle trip over the most beautiful sights of California (not recommended if you have a fear of heights), and the Space Command Control ride that locks you in a simulator and takes you on a fantastic simulated ride to Mars (not recommended if you are claustrophobic).
Epcot is also a remarkable place to eat. Some restaurants to check out are: Rose and Crown in England, The Biergarden in Germany, Via Napoli in Italy and reserve ahead of time for Le Cellier in France if you can, you won’t want to miss it if that’s your cup of tea. If you fail to dine in World Showcase, you’ll miss one of Epcot’s more wonderful features.
Walt Disney certainly created a unique theme park, more than a little educational, but still a well rounded experience!
