I had seen the show several years ago and, was astounded by the imagination and creativity that these three, outrageous entertainers were able to bring! So when it was announced that they updated the show in 2012, with a new and exciting performance, I couldn’t wait to see it again! Needless to say I was not let down.
(1). The Blue Man Group show is a one-of-a-kind, amazing performance, that blends art, comedy, rock and roll and technology; and if all that wasn’t enough, the audience was included as part of the show. In fact the funniest segment involved the blue guys ineptly trying to woo a woman picked from the audience at a messy dinner.
(2). Wide screen cameras were used to constantly roam the crowd while the three Blue Men searched for their chosen participants! When they stopped at our row and looked intensely at my guest and myself, we both ignored them; but that made it extremely funny because we were almost chosen!
(3). The use of the enormous ‘GiPads’ (think about giant iPads), was a fantastic, and funny look at how the world communicates now! Stunningly visual, hysterically funny, wildly inventive and interactive, the Blue Man Group will keep the whole family entertained.
(4). Kids will love the color and music, and adults will enjoy the humor and social commentary. Plus, the pulsating new finale features an original Blue Man Group music score that will have you jumping to your feet.
(5). The low-tech visuals are still effective, too: You can’t beat the sight of the guys, furiously drumming, creating an explosion of colored paint raining back down on them. And for those who might find it all too lowbrow, the blue guys do play an interlude of Beethoven’s “Fur Elise.” Of course it’s played on some crazy tube-laden contraption. And it quickly gives way to Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance.”
Blue Man Group – which is located between both Universal CityWalk and Universal Studios – adds an entirely new dimension in live entertainment for Universal Orlando theme park guests and Florida residents.
If you choose at the last minute to see the show, the price you will pay at the venue is close to $100 per adult. This is why you should purchase your tickets in advance. Hurricane season is here again and some of you may have decided this is the time of year you are in Orlando on vacation. Most will enjoy a very untroubled trip, however since there is always the possibility that bad weather could disrupt your plans, Orlando Ticket Connection is dedicated to making sure you have Hurricane Info for Orlando Tourists!, So you can have a safe and successful vacation!
Sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher and an umbrella are great for any trip when traveling to Central Florida but if you are vacationing here during hurricane season you might want to prepare yourself and your family members just in case you are caught off guard by the extreme weather.
The average temperatures in Orlando range from a low of 48 degrees in January to a high of 92 degrees in July and August. Year-round, rain showers are common but usually brief. During the months of June through September, it can be hot and humid, with sudden, rain showers appearing in the afternoon. Light clothing that draws the sweat from your body, and a raincoat or poncho for travel during these months, are good items to consider. Other months are milder and drier, so pack layers of clothing, particularly for trips during November through April.
The potential for a Hurricane to intrude upon your vacation would be from June 1 though November 30, when Hurricane Season is in full swing. Orlando Ticket Connection understands that you may be having some apprehension about the possibility of a hurricane affecting your planned Orlando vacation. However, the odds of that happening are very low. We suggest the when you make your travel plans during hurricane season, that you check with airlines, hotels, car rental, etc. to find out how they inform their guests when a hurricane is coming, and what actions they plan and what refund policies they have in place. Once again, it is important to point out a direct hit by a major hurricane is an extremely rare event.
Other tips you may want to do if planning your vacation during hurricane season are: • Check hurricane policies and weather guarantees offered by your resort or vacation planner. • Check predictions for the current year at the National Hurricane Center. • Check about travel insurance, gas, cash, etc. • Get real-time advisories for hurricanes/tropical storms at National Hurricane Center – www.nhc.noaa.gov Orlando Ticket Connection can’t predict the weather, but we can make sure you get the information you need as well as the best prices in town!!
With summer on its way out and fall on the way in, it might be time to explore some of the adventures that exist here in Orlando. If you live here, or you are visiting you will be amazed at some of the spectacular venues that this area offers!
Let’s Get Medieval!! Medieval Times Dinner Show
This time, I want take you back in history to a time when Chivalry and Romance were commonplace! Where a knight was used to bravery and often fought for the hand of some beautiful maiden!! Where tournaments were mock battles and had more in common with military training than they did as a spectator sport. Jousting, where two knights would face each other atop horses and armed with lances and shields, may have begun as a way to settle disputes within the ranks. These early battles were called duels of chivalry.
Get ready to join the ranks of those cheering on their favorite hero! You will be blasted into the past with the Medieval Times Dinner Show. It has been astounding audiences for over 25 years, so make sure you discover this highly successful, entertaining, and festive show live in Orlando. It embraces the experience of medieval celebrations, taking you back to the time of King Arthur and his royal table.
Medieval Times Dinner Show is inspired by the true medieval tradition of royal families inviting their guests to feast and watch knights compete on horseback. You are personally invited as a guest of the king. Sit back and enjoy the horseback jousting competition from the comfort of your stadium seating view. There is never a bad seat in the house. Divided up into several sections, you will be assigned to a particular knight. Cheer him on as loud and a proud as you like as he battles it out for the heart of the princess.
As you watch the rivalry from your stadium view, the feast that they say “is fit for a king” is served. I found this a little lacking, but the show distracted me from really being too picky! Guests dine on garlic bread, tomato bisque soup, roasted chicken, spare ribs, potatoes, and pastries. A vegetarian meal is also available, upon request. Drinks are included and include coffee, two rounds of select beverages and a full cash bar is available to your every need. But there is one obstacle that you will have to overcome… Eating with your fingers!
With exceptional equestrian skills, swordsmanship, hand-to-hand combat, acting, costumes, and pageantry, you will feel as if you are back in the past. Authentic costumes and weapons are used throughout the show and it is as if you have never left the medieval times. Even the horses are the same authentic breeds that were used in the medieval times.
This is definitely one of the most entertaining and spectacular shows of its kind!Save $20.00 NOW!
Universal Orlando announced that it will disclose more information in a webcast scheduled for Jan. 23 2014, about its widely anticipated Wizarding World of Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley, the latest land scheduled to open by this summer in its Universal Studios Florida theme park.
Universal Orlando’s Diagon Alley, which is scheduled to open at Universal Orlando this year is planned to coincide with an 1,800-room resort and eight new restaurants in the Universal CityWalk dining and entertainment area.
The Harry Potter expansion will be based on fictional scenes in Diagon Alley and London, Supposedly, Diagon Alley is a cobbled wizarding alley and shopping area located in London, England behind a pub called the Leaky Cauldron. Inside the alley is an variety of restaurants, shops, and other sights.. The alley is completely hidden from the Muggle world which is right outside of its boundaries. It is very large in area and essentially the center for the wizards of London.
Universal Orlando’s Diagon Alley will also include a London waterfront area with Knight Bus parked out front, working Hogwarts Express train connecting Universal Orlando’s two theme parks, and Gringott’s Bank ride. The new attraction will be located in the Universal Studios section of the theme park, while the existing Wizarding World of Harry Potter is located in Universal Islands of Adventure. Universal’s Islands of Adventures is where the first Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey was created, within Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It takes riders on a journey through Harry Potter’s Wizarding World. Other attractions include Dragon Challenge, a pair of inverted roller coasters, and Flight of the Hippogriff, a family roller coaster. The area also features a re-creation of Hogsmeade containing many gift shops and restaurants from the series of Harry Potter books including Dervish and Banges, Honeydukes, Ollivanders, Zonko’s Joke Shop, The Three Broomsticks and The Hog’s Head.
Universal Orlando’s Diagon Alley, the second phase was originally announced on December 6, 2011, as a considerable expansion of the existing Wizarding World of Harry Potter. On May 8, 2013, it was officially announced that a significant portion of phase two would be constructed in the adjacent Universal Studios Florida theme park with a replica of the Hogwarts Express taking guests between the two lands. This area’s flagship attraction will be a roller coaster themed around the Gringotts Wizarding Bank. The remaining attractions will be themed around London and Diagon Alley.
The Hogwarts Express, the new black and red train, which has been brought in piece by piece, will connect the two parks. Hopefully this will persuade visitors to buy a two-park pass so they can explore both sections.
“You have these two great parks. Now you have an opportunity to go from one park to another in a one-story experience,” said Mark Woodbury, president of Universal Creative. “You go to Universal Studios Florida, you can get on at Diagon Alley, you can get on the Hogwarts Express and take it over to Islands of Adventure, the Wizarding World, Hogsmeade, an unbelievable opportunity.”Woodbury noted the train will run both directions between the two parks. “Most people that come to the resort now experience both parks. This will be a great way for them to do that,” he said. And even if guests were to choose just one park, they’d still get a “Harry Potter experience,” he said.
It seems like Universal Orlando has thrown down the gauntlet with the new expansions! The war for summer 2014 is on, with Walt Disney World countering with upcoming Seven Dwarves Mine train and SeaWorld Orlando announcing the new Aquuatica expansion, Omacka Rocka! It will be exciting to see what happens next! Whatever the outcome it means more fun and more choices for visitors as well as greater economic outlook for Central Florida’s booming tourism industry!!

Sanctus Real at Wet n’ Wild!
On April 27th, fans of Christian Rock and Wet n’ Wild, one of the best water parks in Central Florida, are in for a treat! Wet n’ Wild has announced that this year’s “Waves of Glory” final act will be Sanctus Real, the Christian rock band. Sanctus Real, two-time Grammy nominee and Dove Award winning group will perform songs from their very own “Promises Tour”.
Click here to hear the song “Run” which they will be playing!
As a great fan of Christian music, I am excited to not only hear these amazing performers but to be able to watch the Battle of the Bands competition. Can you imagine doing all of this, while enjoying the many, amazing water slides and refreshing pools that are scattered throughout Wet n’ Wild?
Wet n’ Wild has really pumped-up (pun intended), the volume at this year’s event. Some of the best new artists in Christian rock, gospel, punk and R&B will be competing. Sanctus Real will take the stage after winners of the competition are announced, so make sure that you stay to the very end! Remember good things come to those who wait, and this performance, I believe, will be worth the wait when you attend Sanctus Real at Wet n’ Wild.
Anyone who listens to Christian radio will be sure to recognize the song “Lead Me’, which is the hit that began the career’s of Sanctus Real. It is an incredible song that you are sure to hear them sing.
If you think about it, “Waves of Glory” is aptly named because you can experience the Wave pool while listening to the sound waves penetrating the airwaves! Ha-ha!
I choose this event to be a FIVE STARS event; but of course I’ll have to go and experience it — just to make sure!
Join me next time to find out what’s happening with the OTC Genius.
